“I SaaaiDD tWiTTeRr DOo yYoU rRrememmbBeR thHHHHHIs SoOOnGG?”
It seems like I can’t scroll through my timeline without seeing these tweets. For some reason, it’s my least favorite viral trend. I don’t know why. Maybe I’m just old?
Here are some examples for those for reference:
As you can tell, some companies are taking advantage of the viral trend which is good marketing….so I’ll give it that.
Anyway, it DID get me thinking about all the songs that I used to burn on a blank CD and play in my moms car on the way to ~everywhere. I knew there was a reason I never deleted the songs on my iTunes list. I didn’t have to do it but I did. I did it for you. Here we go.
Feel the nostalgia.
This song came up on one of my daily mixes on Spotify the other day and I got that ~nostalgia feeling in my gut. I STILL love this song and think it’s super unique, lyrically. “‘I’m not gonna waste these words about a girl”
*Wastes those words about a girl*
Invented punk. 10/10
Totally rock n roll dude

There was a movie made with the members of this band and basically, the plot was that these fangirls kidnapped the band members (?????) by pretending to be their chauffeur after a concert and throwing a bunch of smoke so they couldn’t see that teenage girls were driving the car. They lock the band in their basement and I guess they fall in love with the fangirls by the end of the movie. I don’t know. Was this real? Or did I dream that? So weird.
I’m pretty sure everyone knows this song. You’re only pass is if you were born in like ~2000. But can someone pLEASSEE help me understand why Hinder is very obviously in love with the girl on the phone….but still in a relationship with the girl in the next room. Did he know he could ~break up with her and just date the lips of an angel girl?
Ugh. So frustrating.
This was always on the radio and the music video was odd. I didn’t really get it back then but apparently its about a heist. I don’t know. But people dedicated this to their significant others after cheating.
Just now realizing that this girl was probably depressed and Nine Days pretty much glamorizes it.
I didn’t realize I was going to remember so many of these early 2000’s jams but once I youtube’d one….a bunch more came up in the sidebar. This means that I have to do a part two because I definitely didn’t cover everything.
Comments?
Thoughts?
I’m old.
Bye.
