Hello world and all who inhabit it!
Today I am going to share some of my favorite Andrew McMahon songs from all his incredible projects over the past 20(ish) (WOW) years.
For those who don’t know, Andrew is the mastermind behind Jacks Mannequin & Something Corporate as well as some really legendary self-titled projects like Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness.
In my book, Andrew McMahon is a legend and a staple of my musical upbringing. Jacks Mannequin was definitely one of the first bands I listened to that made me have a musical awakening, if you will. I discovered the genres of alternative rock and punk through this and I really think that without it, I wouldn’t be as passionate about music as I am. I was stuck in that top 40-pop bubble of the early 2000’s and really had no idea anything else existed.
I fell in love with Andrews song-writing abilities. It was songs like ‘Kill the Messenger’ and ‘Swim’ that got me through my teenage angst but then my adult-pains as well to this day. I went back and listened to Something Corporate and then stuck around for all these projects throughout the years and to be honest, Andrew McMahon does not run out of talent. You would assume that eventually you’d run out of great lyrics but guess not. Not him.
Okay, I’m going to stop yapping now because I want to share some of my all time favorites.

If you’ve made it through this entire thing then hi! Welcome back to my words. As you can tell, I didn’t do so great at choosing only a few songs. I kind of just went crazy and just when I thought I was done, I remembered more favorites that I just couldn’t NOT include. Ya know? So it’s a long list but I’m proud of it.
